Our 2017-2018 Outdoor Education Leaders
ADVENTURE IS OUR MIDDLE NAME
Our Outdoor Education program is led by a group of passionate educators and environmentalists and they love to have fun in the outdoors!
In 2017, 16,196 Students from 121 public, private and home schools came to camp! Teachers and students tell us again and again they appreciate the experience that goes beyond traditional academics and prepares students for both formal and informal classroom assessments and state standardized testing.
“The Outdoor Education program at Collin County Adventure Camp has a tremendous impact on our 5th grade students and staff. During our stay, students build background knowledge using authentic and hands-on experiences that help teachers bring the wonder of nature and science to life inside the classroom. Not only is the outdoor curriculum tailored to the Science TEKS, but the social emotional well-being of our students is addressed over a fun-filled three day adventure. The grounds and facilities are gorgeous, the food is amazing and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It is no wonder that 5th grade outdoor camp is one of the top memories of our graduating students at Plano ISD.”
Keith Griffin, Plano I.S.D. Outdoor Education Coordinator
